Weather Warnings Issued for Ellington, Somers

It's the first day of summer vacation for most towns in Connecticut and already resident are being told to watch the skies.

The National Weather Service has issued several weather warnings for the Greater Hartford area, including:

• A flash floor watch until 4 p.m. Tuesday.
• A hazardous weather outlook until 10 p.m. Monday with strong storms and high wind gusts moving into the area.
• A thunderstorm watch until 8 p.m. Monday.

Chances of a thunderstorm are 30 percent for Monday afternoon and 80 percent Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.
