Wildlife Sanctuary Animals To Visit Ellington Farmers Market
Begin the New Year with healthy local and fresh foods from 25 vendors. Bring the family to shop and visit wildlife sanctuary animals.
The Ellington Farmers' Market is hosting the Wildlife Sanctuary of the Children's Museum of West Hartford on Saturday January 4th from 2-4 at the Indian Valley YMCA. This program continues the market's mission of building a vibrant community through free activities. The entire family can learn about the unique ways the animals have adapted to meet their specific needs and compare similarities and differences between mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects.
Twenty five vendors will be attending the market with local farm products, specialty foods and artisan wares. The market matches SNAP benefits up to $20 per week per EBT card. A complete list of vendors can be found on this week's market newsletter.
