CHILDREN’S CLASS

The Joy of Painting (Ages 7-12)

In this popular painting class, young artists will make colorful artworks inspired by famous artists.

ADULT CLASSES

Drawing – Essential and Elegant – All Levels Welcome

Known for her positive and upbeat teaching style, Shauna helps students achieve a solid foundation for their personal artistic journey.

Instructor Shauna Shane has been a professional artist for 34 years and is a former Resident Artist at The New Britain Museum of American Art.

Dates: Mon. Mar. 21 – April 25 (Six classes)
Time: 9:30 – 11:30 AM

Oil Painting – All Levels Welcome

Explorethe versatility and beauty of oil painting. With specific instruction targeted to your own artistic level, you will learn effective steps to creating a successful painting.

EveningWatercolors

Develop exciting watercolor techniques while painting subjects from nature.

Instructor Bivenne Staiger is known for her award-winning watercolor paintings of animals/birds and florals, and for her successful teaching style.

Dates: Mon. March 21 – April 25

Time: 6:30 – 8:30 (2 Hour Class)

Fee: $125

Painting with Acrylics – Beginner to Intermediate Students

Enjoy painting in this popular class where you will learn to mix colors on a palette and create depth in your still life and landscape paintings with special attention to light and shadow.

Instructor Debra Gag has broad experience teaching a variety of media and techniques to adults and children.

Dates: Tues. March 15 – April 19 (Six Classes)

Time: 3:45 – 6:15 (2 ½ hour class)

Fee: $175 + $30 for materials

Pastels: Color, Contrast, and Energy

Learn to create textures and use color and contrast to infuse your oil and/or chalk pastel florals, still-lifes, or landscapes with new life.

Instructor Nancy Cooke Bunnell is an award winning pastel artist and certified art teacher who has exhibited widely and taught children and adults for over 30 years.

Dates: Thursday (Six Classes)

Weekly Ongoing Watercolor Class

Ongoing watercolor classes are taught using a step by step paint-along method which students of all levels find fun and easy to follow.

Instructor Beth Parys was originally in the field of advertising and design. For the last fifteen years, she has enjoyed teaching watercolor classes and workshops in the Connecticut/ Massachusetts area.

Spring Sing Workshop

If you love singing, join us for a free workshop open to all ages

Instructor Steven Kaminski has a B.A. in music from Southern Methodist University and extensive experience as a composer/on set music coach and studio musician for Walt Disney, MTV and BET.

Intro to Singing (Ages 12 -- Adult)

This class is designed as an introduction to ensemble singing. The goal is to have fun while gaining a solid foundation that will be of continuing benefit after the class is over.
