3 Enfield Playgrounds to Reopen Friday

The town of Enfield is beginning a phased reopening of its 28 playscapes, with three designated spots becoming available for use Friday.

ENFIELD, CT — For the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic nearly four months ago, children of all ages will again be able to enjoy some of the town's playscapes, beginning Friday.

The town is beginning a phased reopening of its 28 playscapes, with three designated spots becoming available for use Friday:

  • Rotary Playground, Enfield Central Library
  • Alcorn School Playground
  • Brainerd Park Playground

All town playscapes were closed on April 3, as a result of executive orders from Gov. Ned Lamont regarding social distancing due to the pandemic.

Town officials caution residents that playgrounds may be used at their own risk. Playground equipment is not being sanitized, and social distancing practioces are encouraged to keep children safe.
