NORTHERN CONNECTICUT — The aftereffects of Tropical Storm Elsa were still highly visible in north-central Connecticut Saturday morning, including road closures, fallen trees, downed wires and overflowing water sources.

In Enfield, a segment of Route 191, known locally as Broad Brook Road, was closed just before 3 a.m. due to a fallen tree which became entangled in live wires just east of the third tee at Grassmere Country Club. As of 8 a.m., Eversource Energy and Asplundh Tree Service had arrived at the scene, and police closed the road at Town Farm Road to the north and Abbe Road to the south.

Here are some photos of the area taken Saturday morning. Anyone who took a photo of storm damage and wishes to have it added to the gallery may do so by emailing it to tim.jensen@patch.com.
