Enfield, CT, October 21, 2020 – The Enfield Safe Harbor Warming Center received a check in the amount of $2920.00 from the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal through its Vicariate Outreach Program. This funding will help the Center expand its mission of providing a safe and warm place for our homeless residents of Enfield, Connecticut during the coldest times of the year.

“We are grateful to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal for this generous show of support for our mission,” said Rosalind Swift, the Center’s Communications Chair. “Many people assume that homelessness does not exist in our community. It does. Too many of our neighbors live on the streets or under other unsafe conditions. Many others are one missed paycheck away from losing their housing. Our mission this year looks quite different due to Covid-19 but we are here to serve the homeless. The Enfield Safe Harbor Warming Center will be operating two or three nights per week, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, during the winter months of January 3, 2021- March 27, 2021 as Outreach and Engagement center to assist our homeless here in Enfield during this Covid-19 pandemic.
