Paul Manzi, 88, walked uphill both ways for the last time on May 20, 2025. He was the loving husband of Beverly Mastalerz for 63 years, who if you were lucky enough to catch them, could ballroom dance your socks off. Paulie grew up in the South End of Springfield, going on to coach baseball and football for the local kids. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years before retiring in 1991. One of Papa?s favorite pastimes during winter storms was calling his grandkids to tell them his snowman was the biggest and you could see it from space. His grandkids will miss his calls and his tireless sense of humor that he passed on to them.
