ENFIELD, CT — A portion of Route 5 in the southern end of Enfield is closed as investigators work at the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer.

The street is expected to be closed for several hours between Depot Hill and Pleasant roads as Eversource Energy crews work to repair a utility pole involved in the crash, Police Chief Alaric Fox said.

Police are advising motorists to seek alternate routes.
