Crash In Enfield Claims Life of Local Man

ENFIELD, CT — A single-car crash on Post Office Road Saturday night claimed the life of a 39-year=old man, according to police.

The crash happened around 6:52 p.m. near the rear entrance to St. Joseph's Residence, involving a 2011 Nissan Altima. The driver, Uriah Lewis, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Post Office Road was closed for several hours between Route 5 and Post Road as police worked at the scene.

The Enfield Police Department Traffic Division, with assistance from the Metro Traffic Services regional traffic team, are investigating the cause of the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Pete Nisyrios at 860-763-6400 ext. 1359.
