Enfield Coronavirus Update: 223 Cases Now Confirmed

The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus is now 223 in Enfield, according to state health officials.

ENFIELD, CT — The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus has reached 223 in Enfield, according to updated figures provided Monday afternoon by state public health officials.

In Connecticut, the number of confirmed cases is up to 19,815. Statewide, the number of deaths related to the virus has reached 1,331, with 1,901 patients currently hospitalized. Just over 62,800 people have undergone laboratory testing thus far, officials said.

Fairfield County continues to compile the highest number of confirmed cases with 8,320, or 42 percent of the state's total. Enfield is located in Hartford County, which has confirmed 3,823 cases with 369 deaths.
