Enfield Couple Starts Blog to Share With Other RV Enthusiasts
Since retiring in 2017, they have been winding their way around the country in their Damon Daybreak, and wish to share their experiences.

ENFIELD, CT — After more than four decades of grinding out a living, working seven days a week and doing whatever had to be done to achieve their goals, longtime Enfield residents Tina and Dan O'Connell retired two years ago and began pursuing their lifetime dream: traveling the country in their recreational vehicle. The couple is doing just that, motoring their Damon Daybreak to all points north, south, east and west.
They wish to share their experiences of life on the road with other RV enthusiasts, creating a blog entitled "New Fulltimers, Old RVers." They explain the title in their debut blog: Old RVers, "because we have had RVs for forty years (mostly motor homes)." and New Fulltimers, "because we have only been living and traveling full time for a month short of two years."
Dan O'Connell, a familiar face to most Enfield residents for many years as the former co-owner of O'Connell's Mobil on Route 5 at the Connecticut/Massachusetts border (now Pride), wrote, "Trust me, using an RV for weekends and vacations and the occasional seasonal site is very different than living and traveling full time in an RV... We are not experts. I believe this lifestyle is a work in process. I hope we can learn together. I will tell you the things we have done and learned and give you advice based on what we know."
