Enfield Eateries: Most Open, Some Closed, Many Delivering

ENFIELD, CT — Food establishments throughout town have taken to handwritten messages, purchased signs, A-frame sandwich boards and the occasional 8'-by-4' banner to proclaim they are open and serving meals, with either traditional takeout, curbside pickup and/or delivery.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Gov. Ned Lamont's executive order to limit restaurants and bars serving food to pickups and deliveries only has forced eatery owners to either shut down completely or begin offering additional services in lieu of dining in. On Thursday, Patch stopped by 21 food facilities throughout Enfield to see which were adapting to stay open, and which had temporarily closed.

Here is a listing of the sites visited and their status (key: P = pickup; D = delivery; C = closed temporarily; W = drive-up window).
