Holiday craft kits and letters from Santa are just a few of the holiday programs on the agenda this December.

Continue to fall back into Recreation this season with a variety of in-person, Take It, Make It and online programs and activities based on your comfort level. NEW! HOLIDAY PROGRAMMING ON THE VIRTUAL REC. CENTER

With newly added virtual holiday programming, our Virtual Recreation Center offers over 50 activities that can be enjoyed from the safety and comfort of home. The Center aims to provide resources and activities that are 100% free. New programs will be added regularly to keep the entire family engaged and having fun while at home. Drop by the Virtual Rec. Center today at www.enfield-ct.gov/recreation and celebrate all season long!

PRESCHOOL LETTERS FROM SANTA

Bring the holiday magic to your little one with a special delivery from the North Pole! Santa is ready to spread holiday cheer this December by sending personalized letters to the little ones of Enfield with the help of his friend Jingles the Bear. Registrations will be accepted through December 14 or when the limit is reached. Letters and Jingles the Bear can be picked up on Friday, December 18 from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or Saturday, December 19 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM. See website for complete details.

COOPED UP CRAFTS CART PICK-UP EVENTS

Take It, Make It activities are great for those who are not comfortable attending in-person classes, are unable to make an in-person class or need an activity to fill their child’s downtime with. Seasonal activity packs, coloring pages, CYO ornaments, nutcracker magnets and more are available for youth (while supplies last). All activities are FREE and can be picked up by calling the Recreation Office at 860.253.6420 to reserve an activity and schedule a time for pick up or by visiting us at one of our upcoming pickup events: Wednesday, December 16, 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Central Library and Saturday, December 19, 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the Angelo Lamagna Activity Center. TAKE IT, MAKE IT HOLIDAY CRAFT KITS

Looking for a fun and themed activity for the kids to do at home? Check out our two FREE Holidays at Home crafts for Enfield youth ages 7 years and older. Choose from a 3D Gingerbread House or Christmas Designer Panels. Crafts can now be reserved (24-hour hold) by calling the Recreation Office at 860.253.6420. Kits are available until December 23 or while supplies last. See website for complete details.

YOUTH HOLIDAY COLORING CONTEST

Looking to unleash your creativity this December? Enter our holiday coloring contest to show off your skills for a chance to win a prize pack! To enter: Color your favorite holiday/winter coloring page, take a picture of you and your finished masterpiece and send us an email. The contest will have three age groups: Ages 5 and under, ages 6-8 and ages 9-15. The contest runs December 1-21, 2020 and winners will be selected and contacted by December 23, 2020.
