Happy Spring! The Enfield Senior Center is excited to announce that the Center is reopening on a limited basis for in-person programming on Monday, April 5th. Registration has begun and if you missed it there is still time to register by contacting the Senior Center at 860-763-7425 or emailing seniorcenter@enfield.org.

Prime Fitness Center: The Fitness Center will be open Monday – Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. No appointments are necessary. However, if the Fitness Center reaches the 12-person capacity, members will have to wait until someone leaves. Mike and Les are looking forward to seeing everyone and getting you back into your fitness routine. They can be reached at 860-272-3554 if you have any questions. Currently, we are open to participants who have been registered in the past. As restrictions ease, we will look at welcoming new members.

Arts & Crafts: Nancy our Program Coordinator and Arts & Crafts extraordinaire has planned some fun projects to do in-person at the Center:
Mandala Dot Painting – Tuesday, April 6 at 1:30pm
Card Making – Friday, April 16 at 9:30am
Spring Wreath – Tuesday, April 20 at 1:30pm
Paint Party – Monday, April 26 at 1:00pm

Computer Classes: Dara our computer expert is back to help you with your tech needs. The small group setting in the computer room will allow her to cover the following topics:
Introduction to Facebook – Wednesday, April 7 at 1:30pm
Drop-In Tech Time – Wednesday, April 14 at 1:30pm
Computer 101 – Wednesday, April 21 at 1:30pm

Special Events:
Movie: The War with Grandpa – Friday, April 9 at 1:30pm. $2.00 collected at the door.
Movie: Wild Mountain Thyme – Friday, April 23 at 1:30pm. $2.00 collected at the door.

On a personal note, we said good-bye to Sheila Grady, Senior Center Manager last week. She has accepted a position with the Ellington Senior Center as their new director. Mary Keller, Deputy Director of Recreation Services has been appointed the new Senior Center Manager. For those of you have not met me yet, I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you. Nancy, Shannon, Les, Mike and I along with all the instructors are excited to welcome you back on Monday. We look forward to getting back to a new normal and creating new memories here at the Enfield Senior Center.
