NEW YORK, NY — Launched in 2001, Wikipedia has grown into the largest and most popular general reference work on the Internet. The online encyclopedia contains nearly 6 million articles in its English version alone, profiling celebrities, major events and persons of interest throughout the world, and a talented Enfield native has recently been added as a new entry to the directory.

Cassandra Kubinski, valedictorian of the Enfield High School Class of 2001, has made it onto Wikipedia, listed as "an American pop artist, songwriter and actress." Her biography contains accounts of her early days in Enfield, her singing, acting and songwriting career, and a complete discography of her albums and singles.

The listing comes just in time for the release of the New York resident's newest single, "Dreams," and the EP of the same name. A collaboration with songwriter/guitarist/producer Tony Daniels, Dreams features five original songs, including “You Get Me,” which has become the poster song for pet rescue and adoption, raising charitable funds through sales and events for groups such as the Humane Society of New York, Helping Lost Pets, Howl of a Dog and It’s A Ruff Life Rescue.

Other songs on Dreams include the laid back, guitar-laden and summery title track; the jaunty and cheeky “I Want Everything”; ode to a baby girl, “Welcome to the World”; and the stirring anthem “Everyday Heroes.” The EP also features acoustic covers of Billy Joel’s “A Matter of Trust,” Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young’s “Our House,” and the Doc Pomus/Mort Shuman classic “This Magic Moment,” popularized in hit versions by the Drifters and Jay & the Americans.

“The songs on Dreams were all written over a period of a few years, inspired by many life events," Kubinski said. "When we listened to them together, we realized that there is actually an overall clear, bright perspective; a theme. Each track expresses love for life, fun, family, and the simplicity of looking to the future and chasing dreams. And the acoustic basis of the project tinged with whimsical musical elements like kazoo, toy piano, and mandolin gives the whole EP this easy breezy feel that we hope will become the soundtrack for people when they want to simply feel good, lighter and happier, just because.”

Kubinski’s last two EPs, Holiday Magic and Onward, charted at #46 and #97 respectively on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. She has been performing since her early years, appearing as the title character in "Annie" at the Goodspeed Opera House at age 13, then landing a guest spot opposite Michael J. Fox in the TV series "Spin City." Nine of her songs were featured in the hit Lifetime TV series "Dance Moms." She is also a prolific voiceover artist, including a memorable bit voicing Marcia Brady in a Snickers commercial which aired during Super Bowl XLIX.
