Patch asked readers to nominate their favorite spots as Enfield Business of the Year, and a number of respondents cited Caronna's Market.

ENFIELD, CT — Recently, Enfield Patch asked readers to nominate their favorite local business for Business of the Year. Many Enfield businesses have managed to navigate the turbulence of 2020 with steadfast determination and an unwavering commitment to the clients they serve.
For more than a hundred years, Caronna's Super Market has proudly filled the grocery needs of its hungry customers. From its founding by Saverio Caronna in 1918 in a small building at 46 North Main St. - which no longer exists - to the home it has occupied at 25 Pearl St. since 1962, Anthony Caronna and family continue to strive to provide top quality products and service to the community. At 92, butcher Sam Caronna can still be found at the store regularly.
Most famous for its large selection of fresh, delicious meats and cold cuts, including its famous "budget stretchers" selections, Caronna's makes every one of its patrons feel like family. Its owners have long been very active in town, supporting numerous events and non-profit groups. The staff has also been highly responsive to customers' needs during the coronavirus pandemic.

"All our regulars are fantastic," Anthony Caronna told Patch recently. "Throughout this whole pandemic, we were delivered pizzas, we had people taking good care of us along the way. People appreciate what you do to help them out. Everybody in town seems to have respect for us, and we totally respect them."
