Firefighters Battle House Fire On Hartford Avenue In Enfield

A fire broke out at a multi-family house around 7 p.m. Wednesday, prompting mutual aid response from all five fire companies in town.

ENFIELD, CT — Firefighters from all five fire departments in Enfield are working at a blaze in the Thompsonville section of town.

The fire was reported around 7 p.m. at 21-23 Hartford Avenue, a century-old duplex. Mark Zarcaro, public information officer for the fire departments of Enfield, said the majority of the flames were from the southern part of the house.

The American Red Cross reported it was assisting three families, consisting of seven adults and nine children.
