House On Taylor Road In Enfield Damaged By Fire
A fire official said the Cape Cod-style home will be "unlivable for some time" after a fire Friday morning.

ENFIELD, CT — A house on Taylor Road has been declared "unlivable for some time" by fire department officials after a fire in a living room wall Friday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched to 400 Taylor Road at 6:19 a.m. Mutual aid was provided by all five Enfield fire companies, and the blaze was declared under control at 6:40 a.m., according to Mark Zarcaro, public information officer for the fire departments of Enfield.
One occupant of the home escaped without injury, and in a photo shown below provided by Zarcaro, a cat was carried away by firefighter Eric Rauschenbach.

The home, a 1,260 square-foot Cape Cod-style built in 1956, is not inhabitable at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Zarcaro said.
