ENFIELD, CT ? On Election Day, I am going to be supporting Bob Hendrickson for State Representative in the 58th District and I urge you to join me.

Let me tell you a little bit about Bob, who is not your typical politician. Many of you will remember Bob as the manager of Shop Rite (and Shaws, and Edwards before that). While his experience running a large grocery store, and the contact he had with people in our community from various backgrounds and persuasions will be a great asset as a State Representative, I would rather focus on something else from this.

Bob is a humble man, and most wouldn?t know he volunteers much of his time every week at the Enfield Food Shelf picking up donations, making deliveries and stocking shelves. When the Food Shelf moved to a new location, he used his grocery management experience and helped to design a layout to make the facility more like a grocery store. He?s also an accomplished handyman and has built shelving and completed numerous odd jobs to save this non-profit from having to incur un-necessary costs, so they can better help folks in need. As you can tell, his roots in our community are strong.

Currently, Bob runs his own small business. He knows what it means to set a budget, keep expenses down and operate within his means, while still doing right by his customers. This experience means that he also knows more than most the impact that inflation and the current economic conditions are having on our small businesses and Enfield?s families. I trust that Bob will go to Hartford and work to ease those burdens as much as possible.

I, like many of you, have known Bob to be thoughtful, thorough and works to get as much information as possible to get the whole picture before making a decision. This mindset will serve us well in Hartford. On Tuesday, November 8, please join me in voting for Bob H in the 58th on Row B.
