The Network's Purple Event Nets Over $26,000

"Just Be You" the Network Against Domestic Abuse Annual Purple Event Nets Over $26,000 to Support Programs and Services

The Network Against Domestic Abuse Annual Purple Event “Just Be You” netted over $26,000. Proceeds from the event support outreach, court support and counseling services for victims of domestic abuse, a safe haven for women and children in need of shelter as well as sheltering services for men. The Network also provides prevention education in the communities served in north central Connecticut.

Smith Brothers Insurance, Ment Law Group and PeoplesBank were the Purple Ribbon Sponsors of the event while Todd and Debra Gish were the Samaritan Sponsor and Cross Country Mortgage was the Humanitarian Sponsor. Champion Sponsors included: Browne Memorial Chapels Funeral & Cremation Services, Commercial Storefront Services, Inc., Fallon Law Office, Melania Hasiuk/Coldwell Banker, Liberty Mutual Insurance, M&T Bank, North Central News and Westfield Bank.

Guests enjoyed a delicious array of hors d’oeuvres, pasta, carving stations and desserts at Maneeley’s Banquet & Catering and a variety of wine and beer tastings provided by Joe’s Fine Wine & Spirits of East Windsor and Ellington. One lucky person went home with a heart-shaped diamond donated by Swede’s Jewelers. Kevin Hogan, WFSB Channel 3 News Reporter emceed the event and acted as auctioneer.
