New Mayor of Enfield Dog Park Elected At Puppy Pride Fun Day
The annual dog park mayoral campaign raised nearly $3,000 for the nonprofit group.

ENFIELD, CT — The newly-elected mayor of the Enfield Dog Park was literally drooling upon the announcement of the election results. That reaction was likely due to the fact that the latest electee is a large, lovable Saint Bernard, complete with Alpine brandy keg.
Nell, owned by Jennafer and Rich Fregeau, collected the most money in her jar to top the five candidates in the annual fundraising election, conducted during the 12th Puppy Pride Fun Day event Saturday at the Thompsonville Moose Club.
Freddie, owned by Roberta and George McLean, placed second to earn the designation of deputy mayor. The five mayoral candidates raised more than $2,900 to aid the nonprofit park, which is run strictly by volunteers.
