Outstanding Accomplishments By College Students From Enfield

Many college students from Enfield continue to shine in their academic ventures despite the coronavirus pandemic.

ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

  • Six Enfield residents made the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2020 fall semester. They are Sara Beth Banach, new media design program; Cara Lizotte, biotechnology and molecular bioscience; John Riley, human-centered computing; Owen Racette, software engineering, Nate Bedard, civil engineering technology; and Nick Bialka, management information systems. Undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their GPA is greater than or equal to 3.40 for nine credit hours of traditionally graded coursework; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete," NE, D, or F; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

  • Claire Collins, Patrick Fleming, Lindsey Stover and Anthony Wondoloski, all of Enfield, were named to the Dean's List for the fall 20202 semester.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

  • Eight students from Enfield made the fall 2020 Dean's List at WPI. They are Kayla Baez, class of 2021, majoring in civil engineering; Abigail Barksdale, class of 2024, majoring in actuarial mathematics; Cameron Carlin, class of 2024, majoring in chemical engineering; Jason Chen, class of 2022, majoring in chemical engineering; Aaron Longo, class of 2023, majoring in robotics engineering; Daniel Marsh, class of 2022, majoring in biomedical engineering; Taylor Nowak, class of 2022, majoring in mechanical engineering; and Parker Simpson, class of 2021, majoring in bioinformatics & computational biology. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
