Panera Bread Opens New Building In Enfield
The eatery has left its longtime site in the Enfield Square in favor of its own building across the street at the State Line Plaza.

ENFIELD, CT — Panera Bread opened its new home in Enfield Tuesday, across the street from its longtime location in the beleaguered Enfield Square shopping mall.
A new 4,300 square foot freestanding building was constructed in the parking area of the State Line Plaza, just east of the Square on Freshwater Boulevard. The new location includes a drive-thru and "a modern concept design to give customers the best, most convenient experience possible," spokesman Matt Blanchette said.
On Feb. 25, customers who try the new drive-thru will have a chance to win a number of prizes with their order, including gift cards in random amounts between $5-$45, coffee mugs, cookies and other prizes, Blanchette said.
