Parkway Pavilion Health & Rehabilitation Center Celebrates National Nursing Home by Honoring those Lost During Pandemic

Parkway Pavilion Health & Rehabilitation Center celebrated National Nursing Home Week by honoring those lost during the pandemic. Team members felt that planting a tree, which stands tall and blooms every year, would be an appropriate way to honor their memory.

A Kwanzan flowering cherry tree was planted in front of Parkway’s Rehab wing with a ceremony attended by staff, residents and family members of those who passed.

During the ceremony Parkway Pavilion Health CEO, Steven Vera commented, “With this being National Nursing Home Week, it was important for the residents, staff and families to memorialize those we lost from the Parkway family due to COVID-19 virus. This beautiful flowering cherry tree will be a constant reminder of those lost battling this terrible pandemic. I would like to thank and recognize the staff for their commitment and dedication to our residents, families and each other daily.”
