Shaquille O'Neal Cancels Big E Appearance
The basketball star-turned-DJ was scheduled to appear at opening night of the Eastern States Exposition.

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA — Newly-inducted Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal, under his DJ Diesel persona, has canceled his scheduled show at the Eastern States Exposition to instead perform at a benefit for flood victims in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
O'Neal, 44, is a graduate of Louisiana State University.
The Big E Bash is still scheduled for the fair's opening night on Friday, Sept. 16.

In a statement on the fair's Facebook page, officials of the Big E said:
"Eastern States Exposition regrets any inconvenience this has caused our fairgoers. The Big E Bash, celebrating the Fair’s 100th anniversary, will still take place as originally planned. Big E Bash ticket holders who wish to receive a refund must contact The Big E Box Office."
