Singer/Songwriter From Enfield Set to Release Debut Album
Her first full-length album is slated for release Dec. 15, with a release party scheduled that evening in Connecticut.

ENFIELD, CT — From singing the national anthem before Fermi High School hockey games in the sub-zero Enfield Twin Rinks to performing in the tropics of Brazil, pop singer/songwriter Kat Kennedy has accumulated a wide range of musical experience, but the best is yet to come.
The Enfield native and 2011 Fermi alumnae currently resides in Boston, where she graduated in 2015 from the Berklee College of Music, the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world. Soon, however, she will be taking up residence in the City of Angels, as she continues her music career 3,000 miles away in Los Angeles.
Before departing the East Coast, Kennedy has an important farewell performance slated in her former home state of Connecticut: an all-ages release show for her first full-length album, containing a compelling blend of acoustic and electronic sounds.

In March of this year, a Kickstarter campaign raised over $10,000 in fan donations for the creation of the album, which consists of "10 songs that are really a culmination of all the growth I've had over the years, from graduating Berklee College of Music, from traveling from Brazil to Alaska, and all of the adventures I've shared with my friends, family and fans along the way," she said in a video on Kickstarter.
Some recent singles include "Mathematician" and the bouncy "Notice Me", which received raves on audiotox.com and bornmusiconline.com:

"The thing that drew us to this song was the chorus. We were really digging the clever repetition of words while switching up the delivery, kind of like Taylor Swift does in “Look What You Made Me Do”" - Audiotox.com
"She has laid down a shamelessly joyful dance-pop beat and is by all accounts in the mood for some fun. ‘Notice Me’ displays the same honest and no-holds-barred lyricism of Kennedy’s previous songs, but makes stronger use of melody for an out and out ear worm of a playful chorus. It’s a testament to her ability to write memorable hooks, and is a natural lateral step from the Berklee graduate’s previous work." - bornmusiconline.com
Her 2016 TrapNation recording with producer Channels entitled "Flare" amassed over 6 million plays across streaming platforms.
Kennedy's album release show is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at The Packing House, 156 River Road in Willington. Tickets are $15 in advance online and $20 at the door, with special prices at the door for seniors ($18) and students ($10). Jason Sibi-Okumo, a singer/songwriter from Kenya, will open the show.
