Strong storms are moving through parts of northern Connecticut.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — A severe thunderstorm warning issued for portions of northern Connecticut has expired Tuesday evening.

The warning was issued for Hartford and Tolland counties until 6 p.m.

"At 4:59 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Granby to near Burlington to Bristol, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...Hartford, New Britain, West Hartford, Bristol, Manchester, East Hartford, Enfield, Southington, Glastonbury, Newington, Vernon, Windsor, Wethersfield, Mansfield, South Windsor, Farmington, Windham, Simsbury, Bloomfield and Berlin.
