Trees At Enfield High School Entrance Destroyed By Storm
One large tree is completely gone and another has sustained considerable damage due to heavy rainfall brought on by Tropical Storm Elsa.

ENFIELD, CT — Among the casualties of recent storm damage in Connecticut are a pair of trees which have graced the entryway to Enfield High School since the school moved to its current Route 5 location nearly six decades ago.
One tree, which abutted the end of a fence belonging to an Enfield Street neighbor just north of the driveway, was completely destroyed Wednesday night. Town public works employees have been clearing the debris, as well as that of another tree adjacent to the sidewalk, which has sustained considerable damage.
The entrance sign to the high school has been temporarily removed; it is unclear whether it has been damaged.
