Two Veteran Officers Added To Community Policing Unit In Enfield
Allison Mount and Brett Whitcomb join a unit dedicated exclusively to helping improve the quality of life in downtown Thompsonville.

ENFIELD, CT — Two patrol officers from the Enfield Police Department will be bolstering the community policing division, dedicated exclusively to helping improve the quality of life in the downtown Thompsonville area, with the additions of Allison Mount and Brett Whitcomb.
Mount is a seven-year veteran with the department who holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Central Connecticut State University. She received a commendation letter in 2017 for assisting in the evacuation of persons at a house fire. She has advanced her training in Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement, International Police Mountain Bike Association, the Reid Technique of Interview and Interrogation, and Background Investigation. She also holds the billets of Stinger Spike Instructor, Taser Instructor and Field Training Officer.
"Officer Mount is passionate about promoting positive relations and serving her community," Chief Alaric Fox said. "Her interests include liaising with the public and department to build a better community for the town of Enfield."

Whitcomb has been an Enfield police officer for nearly 10 years, after a three-year stint with the Indio (CA) Police Department. He received a Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) award in 2021 and has numerous certifications and trainings, including Crisis Intervention Training, Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement, International Police Mountain Bike Association, Proactive Criminal Enforcement, Narcotics Investigation and Police Photography.
"During my career, I have prided myself on going the extra mile whenever possible and continuing to grow as a law enforcement officer," Whitcomb said. "I have attended numerous training sessions to further this goal, including becoming a Drug Recognition Expert in 2022. I look forward to the opportunity of being a community police officer and to help increase positive relations between the Enfield Police Department and the citizens of Enfield."
