100 Folds Of Fentanyl Nabbed In Glastonbury Bust
A sizeable stash of a powerful narcotic was seized in an undercover drug sting.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A sizeable stash of a powerful narcotic was seized in an undercover drug sting in Glastonbury, police said.
In January, the East Central Narcotics Task Force received a tip about a crack cocaine and fentanyl dealer operating in Glastonbury. A controlled purchase operation targeting the accused dealer — later identified as 25-year-old Hartford resident Kevin Diaz-Nieves — was carried out.
With a warrant in-hand, police located and arrested Diaz-Nieves in a residential neighborhood in Glastonbury, according to a report. Diaz-Nieves was found with about 100 wax folds of suspected Fentanyl, according to a report.

Diaz-Nieves was charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Conspiracy to sell controlled substance
Diaz- Nieves was held on a $100,000.00 surety bond for those charges, police said.

Diaz-Nieves was also processed and charged for the two outstanding warrants for the same two charges, resulting in each carrying a $150,000 bond, police said.
