5 Charged In Glastonbury Car Theft Spree

Five people were charged in connection in the Sunday incident.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Five people were arrested in a car theft incident that involved a suspect vehicle striking several other cars, according to police. Police received numerous reports of suspects attempting to enter vehicles at several homes in South Glastonbury between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday on streets including Great Pond Road, Bluff Point, and Main Street.

Witnesses described the suspects’ vehicle as a grey BMW sedan, which matched the description of a vehicle stolen from Tolland the day before, according to police.

Police were unable to locate the vehicle initially, then spotted it later in the afternoon. Police then learned that the stolen BMW had just struck a vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Hopewell Road.
