Car Rams Stop Sign In Glastonbury, Driver Charged

A driver was charged after her car rammed a stop sign in Glastonbury, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Hartford woman is facing four charges in a case of a rammed stop sign in Glastonbury.

According to a report, the crash took place at 1:37 a.m. on Saturday. A car had hit a stop sign in the area of Keney Street and Howe Road and fled the scene, police said.

The vehicle was located at the dead end of Chalker Hill, according to a report.

The driver 29-year-old Shameca Williams, of Hartford was charged with driving with a hand-held device, failure to drive upon right, evading responsibility and driving under the influence, according to a report.
