Construction Worker Dies After Fall At Site In Glastonbury

The man fell into an open foundation hole at a construction site in Glastonbury, according to reports.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A construction worker died after falling at a home construction site in Glastonbury on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

The Hartford Courant reports the 63-year-old man was part of a crew that was pouring a foundation when he fell into what was to be the basement of a house.

Emergency crews responded to the construction site on Redwood Lane around 3 p.m., according to FOX 61.

WFSB 3 reports the man, who was only identified as a Lebanon resident, was taken to Hartford Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The accident is being investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
