Delivery Service Driver Accused Of Stealing From Eatery Staffer
A driver for a food delivery service is accused of taking money from a staffer at a Glastonbury restaurant police said.
GLASTONBURY, CT — A driver for a contracted food delivery service is accused of stealing cash out of the wallet of a restaurant employee in Glastonbury while waiting for a takeout order, police said.
The incident took place Tuesday at the First & Last Tavern on Rankin Road, according to a report. Police were told that a driver for Door Dash stole $326 from one of the employee's wallets inside the restaurant while he was waiting for an order to be finished, according to a report.
The driver was determined to be Jerin Garrett, 20, of Windsor, police said. He surrendered to the police department and was charged with sixth-degree larceny, according to a report.
