A construction crew working on Main St. in Glastonbury hit a gas main, forcing authorities to close down the street between Hillcrest Road and Westview Road, according to police.
The accident was reported around 11:30 a.m., and fire department officials are currently working to determine the extent of the damage. Officials from CNG shut down the gas leak, authorities said.
Authorities were unsure when the road would be reopened earlier today.
