Glastonbury Bank Heist Suspect Also Charged In Simsbury Robbery
A suspect in the Webster Bank robbery has also been arrested in connection with the Feb. 9 robbery of a Dunkin' Donuts shop in Simsbury.

SIMSBURY, CT — A suspect wanted in connection with the February robbery of a Dunkin' Donutsshop on Route 10 and 202 has been arrested, police said.
Geoffrey Shapiro, 39, of Windsor Locks, was charged on a warrant Tuesday with second-degree robbery, and was held on $100,000 bond. He has been in custody in lieu of $250,000 bond since his Feb. 21 arrest on charges of robbing a Webster Bank branch in Glastonbury, according to judicial records.
In late afternoon on Feb. 9, the Dunkin' Donuts at 142 Hopmeadow St. was held up by a man wearing a light green/teal coat with white fur trim on the hood, a Red Sox baseball hat and jeans. Surveillance video from the store produced clear images of the suspect, according to police.

Shapiro is slated to return to Manchester Superior Court March 17 in the Glastonbury case, and Enfield Superior Court March 31 for the Simsbury charges, according to judicial records.
