Glastonbury Duplex Damaged in Fire Early Monday Morning

Local firefighters responded to a Naubuc Ave. duplex apartment at 4 a.m.

A small fire damaged a Naubuc Ave. apartment complex early Monday morning, leaving two apartments uninhabitable.

Fire officials said they responded to a report of a fire at 4 a.m. at 357 Naubuc Ave., with flames visible on the first floor. Residents of the duplex apartment building had already evacuated without injuries.

Six fire trucks and 35 firefighters responded to the fire, and were able to bring the flames under control within 10 minutes, fire officials said.

The two damaged units were declared uninhabitable due to smoke damage, according to officials.

The fire marshal’s office is currently investigating the cause of the blaze.
