Glastonbury Farmers Market Begins Saturday!

The Farmers Market will debut at its new location on Hubbard Green.

It’s time for the Hubbard Green to get farm fresh as the Glastonbury Farmers Market returns for the 2013 season this Saturday.

The opening festivities of the farmer’s market will begin at 9 a.m. with a yoga class from Sacred Rivers Yoga at the corner of Main St. and Hubbard St.

The market will then open at 10 a.m., offering local produce, handcrafted wares and numerous other artisanal items from 21 local farms and artisans.

There will be a “farm-fresh” cooking demonstration by The Pond House Executive Chef Jordan Stein at 10:30 a.m., where the chef will cook using ingredients available at the market. At 11 a.m. there will be a fiddle music performance by Avery DeVine, “The Redheaded Fiddler.”
