Glastonbury Gymnast Training In Ohio

GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury resident Madeleine Watson has signed with Cornell University and will compete for its gymnastics team beginning in the fall of 2019.

Watson, a multi-year level 10 gymnast, trains at Buckeye Gymnastics in Westerville, Ohio. She lives with a host family and attends a local high school in Ohio, and will graduate in May 2019. She attended Glastonbury High School freshman for three years.

Watson was accepted into the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell and plans to major in biology. She has been a gymnast since age three, competitively since age seven. She is a multi-year state champion and regional qualifier.

She is the daughter of Tom and Bridget Watson, and has two younger siblings: Alexandra, a sophomore at Glastonbury High School, and Jack, a seventh grader at Smith Middle School.
