The Tomahawks captured their second straight Class LL boys soccer championship, and fifth in the past six years.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A second straight Class LL championship, and fifth in the past six seasons, propelled Glastonbury High School to the top spot in the final boys soccer coaches poll for 2018.

The Tomahawks, who shut out No. 2 seed Hall 1-0 in the finals Sunday at Veterans Stadium in New Britain, received 13 of 14 first-place votes in Classes LL-L. Class L titlist Daniel Hand received the other top nod.

The Glastonbury girls were Class LL semifinalists, dropping a tough 1-0 nailbiter to eventual state runner-up Staples, and wound up third in the LL-L balloting.
