Glastonbury High School Hires New Assistant Principal
Rebecca Comenale, the school's head foreign language teacher, was hired to replace Keats Jarmon.

The newest assistant principle at Glastonbury High School was recently hired from within the Glastonbury school system, following a trend over the last year of hiring administrators from within the district.
Rebecca Comenale, recently the head teacher of foreign languages at Glastonbury High School, was recently hired as the high school’s newest assistant principal, according to Superintendent Alan B. Bookman.
Comenale, who worked as a foreign language teacher at GHS for the past 12 years, was appointed to be the head foreign language teacher three years ago. She held her administrative certification and had been evaluating teachers in that role, Bookman said.

Comenale replaces Keats Jarmon, who had been assistant principal at GHS since 2008. Jarmon recently took a position as an assistant principal at Conard High School in West Hartford. Comenale had formerly served as a guidance counselor at Hall High School in West Hartford.
Over the past year, the superintendent has filled several vacancies from within the district.
