Glastonbury Invited to 'Right Tree, Right Place' for Arbor Day
This interactive activity is family friendly and will be held at the Welles-Turner Library.

From the City of Glastobury: Glastonbury Parks & Recreation and the Welles Turner Library have partnered with Eversource, Energize CT, and Burns & McDonnell to host an Arbor Day Celebration emphasizing the importance of RIGHT TREE, RIGHT PLACE! Many trees don’t survive because of conflicts with utilities, sidewalks, or neighboring structures, or simply because they’re not designed to thrive in the environment where they’ve been planted.
In recognition of Arbor Day, we’re inviting Glastonbury children to attend this fun, interactive event! It will begin with a ceremonious tree planting on Main Street, where children will have the opportunity to participate by filling the tree’s new home with soil. The group will then head inside to learn more about how trees provide clean air, fresh oxygen, and essential resources for our world!
