Glastonbury Man Charged After Drug Raid

GLASTONBURY, CT — A raid by a regional task force led to charges against a Glastonbury man, police said.

On March 10, the East Central Narcotics Task Force executed a search-and-seizure warrant at the 1712 Manchester Road residence of 32-year-old Benjamin Richard. Police said Richard was located at the residence and taken into custody on warrant for the sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

During the search, investigators located an assortment of prescription narcotics and amphetamines, as well as drug paraphernalia associated with intravenous
fentanyl use, police said.

Richard was charged with:

  • Possession with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Richard was initially held on a $75,000 surety bond.
