Glastonbury Obituary: Esther Murry, 97

Condolences are extended to her family and friends.

Esther A. Murry, 97, of Glastonbury passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 09, 2018 , and was a resident at the Herbert T. Clark House. She returned back to the Glastonbury area after being in New Port Richey for over 35 years.

She was born in Glastonbury to the late Phokion (Frank) and Julia (Rubaha) Georgiades. She was married to the late Raymond C. Murry for 71 years and to this union two sons were born Gregory and Thomas Murry.

Esther was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Charter member of the League of the Sacred Heart, St. Paul's Catholic Church, Glastonbury; Charter member of Choralette, Hartford, Member of Thursday Musical, New Port Richey, Soloist for 20 years at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Glastonbury. She was a noted soloist for the Hartford and Glastonbury areas for many years and was a great homemaker for her family.

Esther was predeceased by her parents, husband and three brothers; Basil, John and Constantino Georgiades. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving sons, Gregory and his wife Nancy of East Glastonbury and Thomas and Kathy of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Sean Murry, Jason Murry; one great grandchild, Stephen Murry and a host of of her relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:30-6:30 on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave, Windsor.
