July 27
Justin Newton, 21, of 11 Westland Road, Ellington, was arrested on a charge of delivering liquor to a minor after officers working at the Irish-American Festival received reports that an individual wearing shorts and an ankle monitoring bracelet was being disruptive and purchasing beers then giving them to his underage friends. Newton was arrested after officers saw him purchase a beer and hand it off to his 20-year-old friend, Zachary Evans. Evans was issued an infraction for possession of liquor by a minor. Newton was turned over to his parole officer and returned to jail. He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior court on Aug. 14.

Terrence Yao Tian, 24, of 118 Shuttle Meadow Ave., New Britain, was arrested on a charge of third-degree stalking after police say he repeatedly went to the residence of a former girlfriend. He was released on $10,000 bond and was due in Manchester Superior Court on July 30.
Cornelius Moore, 56, of 75 Main St., Hartford, was arrested on charges of fifth-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief after police say he was observed pushing a shopping cart from the back of M&R liquors with a compressor motor inside. An investigation determined that Moore had taken the motor without permission. He was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and is due in court on Aug. 14.

A local 17-year-old was arrested on charges of third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after police say he and his father got into an argument, with the 17-year-old yelling at his parents and throwing items that damaged the house. He was released on a written promise to appear in juvenile court on Aug. 1.
