Glastonbury Police Cruiser Hit While Heading To Call

A Glastonbury police cruiser was hit by another car Friday.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Glastonbury police cruiser was hit by another car while responding to a medical call early Friday afternoon.

Police said the crash took place at 1:15 p.m. on Hebron Avenue at the intersection with the Route 2 Eastbound Exit 8 off-ramp.

The injuries to the officer were termed minor and the officer was transported to Hartford Hospital by Glastonbury EMS.

The operator of the other vehicle did not require medical treatment at the scene, police said.
