Glastonbury Resident Excels at Braille Challenge
A Glastonbury resident was a top divisional scorer at the annual New England Regional Braille Challenge.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Paige Drury of Glastonbury was the top scorer in the junior varsity category (Grades 7 through 9) at the 18th-annual New England Regional Braille Challenge on March 3.
The event took place at The Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton, MA.
The competition, a national program of the Braille Institute, encourages blind and visually impaired children in grades 2 to 12 to hone their braille skills, which are "essential to success in the sighted world."

Regional winners will be recognized with family and friends during an awards ceremony at the sixth-annual Carroll Center for the Blind Walk for Independence on April 29 and have the opportunity to go on to the Braille Challenge finals in Los Angeles in June.
