Glastonbury Restoration Company Raising Money for Local Child

Hannah Forstell, of Manchester was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma

Team Hot AIR (an initiative of American Integrity Restoration) is currently recruiting runners for the Angry Orchard 5K Road Race at Glastonbury’s Apple Fest, to help raise funds for 13-year old Hannah Forstell. American Integrity Restoration is donating $10 of every runner or walker’s registration fee to Hannah’s family.

The Angry Orchard 5K Road Race has become a fall tradition, as a part of the Glastonbury Apple Harvest Festival weekend’s concluding day. It will be held Sunday, October 20, 9:30 AM at Riverfront Park in Glastonbury, CT.

In 2017, Team Hot AIR ran in support of local resident Glen P. Delton, who sadly passed away just weeks before the road race. The 5K had a record 1,012 runners with 399 people running to benefit Glen’s family and honor his memory. In 2018, Team Hot AIR supported Kyle Ashley who sadly passed away in December 2018 after a brave battle with osteosarcoma at 7 years old.

A GoFundMe web page has also been set up for Hannah, for those who wish to donate directly. From Hannah’s GoFundMe page, www.gofundme.com/f/forstellstrong:

“For those who know Hannah, you know she is a vibrant and loving girl who literally lights up the room. Hannah is truly one of my favorite humans and always finds a way to make me feel like a million bucks every time I see her…and I am sure I am not the only one.

We are working on putting together a few ways in which people can help this family as they navigate medical bills, Dr’s appointments, chemo treatments and so much more. In the coming days, weeks and months our hope is to put together a few different ways you can help.”

Any interested runners can register online at the CT River Valley Chamber website (www.crvchamber.org) or contact the Chamber for more information.
