Glastonbury Student Recognized by the National Merit Scholarship
Glastonbury resident Paige Plucker was recently recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Glastonbury resident Paige Plucker was recently recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program. A junior at East Catholic High School in Manchester, she recently received a Letter of Achievement from the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Plucker was named as a Commended Student in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program. Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.6 million students who enter the 2019 competition by taking the 2017 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
Plucker is the East Catholic All-School Secretary. She is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as the school’s President. Plucker contributes to ECLAT, East Catholic’s Literary Magazine and is a frequent speaker at school assemblies and events. Plucker has taken flute lessons for many years and is a member of East Catholic’s Liturgical Choir. She is a STRETCH Service Leader (East Catholic’s community service program) and volunteers at Foodshare in Windsor, CT.
