Glastonbury Woman Facing Gun Storage Charge

A man with a restraining order was found with a gun and a Glastonbury woman is being held responsible, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Glastonbury woman is facing a gun storage charge after a man with a restraining order was found with her weapon, police said.

Jennifer Demorro, 36, surrendered to Glastonbury police this week on an active warrant, through which she was charged with negligent safe storage of firearms, according to a report. The charge stemmed from a January incident in in Vernon, police said. A Vernon man who was ineligible to possess firearms because of an active restraining order was found to be in possession of a gun belinging to Demorro, according to a report.

Police said an investigation revealed that Demorro had purchased the firearm while with the man, and then failed to properly store it.

Her initial $100,000 bond was reduced to a promise to appear in court during a March 4 arraignment and she is due back in court on April 1, judicial system records show.
